Ingredients:

  • 400g (3 1/4 cups) all-purpose flour
  • 100g (1/2 cup) oats
  • 50g (1/4 cup) sunflower seeds
  • 50g (1/4 cup) flax seeds
  • 10g (2 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 300ml (1 1/4 cups) warm water
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Combine warm water and honey in a small bowl. Stir in yeast and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, oats, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until the dough begins to form.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let it rise for about 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch the dough down, shape it into a loaf, and place it in a greased loaf pan. Let it rise for another 45 minutes.
  6. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown and hollow when tapped.
  7. Cool the bread on a wire rack before slicing.
